Terms of Use

Last updated: draft — pending legal review

Draft template — not legal advice

These Terms of Use are a draft template provided for convenience and are not legal advice. They must be reviewed and adapted by a qualified UK solicitor before TaxRadar goes live. Do not rely on them in their current form.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TaxRadar, a product by Bryxo, operated by Bryxo Ltd(“we”, “us”, “our”). By using TaxRadar you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

TaxRadaris a free, read-only dashboard for UK accounting practices. It shows live tax status for VAT, Income Tax and Self Assessment, and tracks deadlines for Corporation Tax, PAYE and Companies House, so you can see your clients’ deadlines, tax-payment status and authorisation gaps in one place — and send automatic client reminders. TaxRadar connects to HMRC via approved agent APIs and holds a read-only view.

2. It is not a filing tool

TaxRadar is not a filing or payment tool. It does not submit returns or data to HMRC or Companies House, and it does not make or take payments on your behalf. It only reads and displays information. You remain responsible for filing, payments and all other regulated actions through the appropriate channels.

3. Free of charge

TaxRadar is provided free of charge. We may introduce paid features in future; if we do, any charges will be made clear before you opt in, and the core described here is intended to remain free.

4. Your authorisation and read-only access

By connecting your HMRC agent account, you authorise TaxRadar to access your client list and client tax status on a read-only basis, on your authority, to provide the service. You confirm you are entitled to grant this access. You may revoke this access at any time, which stops any further access to your agent and client data.

5. Accuracy and your responsibility to verify

TaxRadar mirrors information obtained from HMRC and Companies House. We do not create this information and cannot guarantee that it is complete, current or error-free — it may be delayed, incomplete or affected by issues at the source. TaxRadar is a monitoring aid, not a substitute for professional judgement. You must verify any status or deadline directly with HMRC (or Companies House) before acting or advising a client.

6. Acceptable use

  • Use TaxRadar only for lawful purposes and in line with your professional obligations.
  • Do not share, misuse or attempt to bypass HMRC agent credentials or authorisations.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service.
  • Keep your account credentials secure and do not let others use your account.

7. No warranty

TaxRadaris provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss (including penalties, interest or missed deadlines) arising from your reliance on information shown in TaxRadar without verifying it with HMRC or Companies House. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). As the service is free, our aggregate liability is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.

9. Account and termination

You may stop using TaxRadar and close your account at any time by contacting support@taxradar.co. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service, our users or HMRC. On termination, your right to use TaxRadar ends; disconnecting or deleting your account stops further HMRC access.

10. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised “last updated” line. Your continued use of TaxRadar after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or your use of TaxRadar.
